Travelers Championship Picks
Following a competitive U.S. Open, the PGA Tour heads to Connecticut this weekend for the Travelers Championship. Here’s three golfers we like to contend for the victory.
According to the latest oddsmakers, Brooks Koepka is favored to win the tournament, as he has 15/2 odds. Other short odds to win are Patrick Cantlay (10/1), Jordan Spieth (16/1), Justin Thomas (18/1) and Paul Casey (18/1). The 2019 Travelers Championship takes place Thursday-Sunday from TPC River Highlanders in Cromwell, Connecticut.
Bet on the Travelers Championship
Jordan Spieth 16/1
Spieth is a former winner of this tournament, grabbing the title in 2017. While Spieth has had a rough couple of years, he has shown some flashes of breaking out of his funk. Prior to last week’s U.S. Open, he had finished in the top 10 in three straight tournaments. Spieth should be motivated to bounce back from a poor showing in last week’s major and he’s coming to a course he is very comfortable at.
Paul Casey 18/1
Casey finished runner-up in this event last year and in 2015. Casey already owns one win and six top-10 finishes in 2019, so I would expect him to have another strong tournament this weekend. Casey has done very well in this event, so you can look for him to get out to a strong start and have a chance at the title come Sunday. I feel strongly that Casey will be a top contender.
Bubba Watson 28/1
Bubba Watson is a golfer that struggles at certain courses but excels at others. This is one of those tournaments that he excels in. Watson is the defending champion and a three-time winner of this tournament. While Watson has struggled throughout the year, I feel strongly he will continue to be solid at this event. Watson won three tournaments in 2018 and he has the capability of getting on a nice hot streak.
