The 2018 U.S. Open has now concluded its first two rounds of play and the top-ranked golfer in the world is increasing his lead and shortening his odds to win.
According to the latest oddsmakers, Dustin Johnson is the clear favorite to win, as he is getting odds of -150 to prevail. Justin Rose is listed with +800 odds while Rickie Fowler, Henrik Stenson and Brooks Koepka each have +1200 odds. The U.S. Open continues Saturday and Sunday from Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in Southampton, New York.
Dustin Johnson posted a 3-under 67 on Friday to get to -4 for the tournament. He has a four-shot lead on the field right now. Johnson is seeking his second U.S. Open championship and second major championship.
Rose is tied for fourth right now at +1 overall after shooting an even-par 70 on Friday. Rose is looking to claim his second U.S. Open title and second major championship as well.
Fowler is at +2 for the tournament after shooting a 1-under 69 on Friday. Fowler is currently tied for ninth with Russell Henley. He is seeking his first major championship.
Koepka is the defending U.S. Open champion and looking for back-to-back wins. He is at +1 for the tournament after posted a 4-under, 66 on Friday.
Henrik Stenson is also in the group at +1 for the tournament after he shot an even-par 70 on Friday. Stenson is looking to claim his first U.S. Open title and his second major championship ever.
