Colts vs. Bears Pick
The Colts are reeling but will they still give bettors a victory by covering against the Bears at 1:00PM ET on Sunday?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Colts are 4.5-point home favorites versus the Bears while the over/under currently sits at 47.5 points for Sunday’s game. Neither the side nor the total has moved off the original number set by oddsmakers.
The Bears finally won their first game of 2016, beating the Lions 17-14 as a 3-point home underdog last Sunday. That put Chicago’s record at 1-3 on the season and 1-3 against the spread. Jay Cutler continues to be sidelined with a thumb injury and Brian Hoyer is likely to make another start when the Bears visit the Colts on Sunday.
The Colts are also 1-3 after losing last Sunday to the Jaguars 30-27 as a 1-point favorite in London. Indianapolis has now failed to cover in three of its first four games to start the season, with its lone victory coming in a 26-22 comeback against the Chargers as a 1.5-point home favorite in Week 3. Andrew Luck was 27-of-42 for 234 yards with two touchdowns and an interception in the loss to Jacksonville.

OUR PICK: Despite winning and cover the spread last week, the Bears are just 1-4 against the spread in their last five games overall and are 2-9 at the betting window in their last 11 contests after allowing less than 15 points in their previous game. On the other side, the Colts are 22-7 against the number in their last 29 games versus opponents with a losing record and are 26-11-1 against the spread in their last 38 home games. Despite a long week of traveling overseas, the despite Colts should win and cover against a Bears team that isn’t likely to duplicate the success it had last Sunday.
