Washington head coach Chris Petersen has been quiet on the playing status of his quarterback Jake Browning all week. Browning suffered an apparent right shoulder injury last week that prevented him from playing the final series in the Huskies’ loss to Oregon and Peterson says that his freshman quarterback is day-to-day (just like “everybody” according to Petersen).
From a betting standpoint, the injury doesn’t matter because we like the under, which is 8-3 in the last 11 meetings between these two teams. Washington struggles offensively but is competitively defensively, making the Huskies an attractive option for under bettors. They rank 16th in the nation in points allowed per game (16.8), but are 89th in points scored (25.7).
Stanford, meanwhile, ranks 39th defensively in total yards (357.3) and 36th in points allowed (21.7). This should be a defensive struggle throughout.
Take the under, which is sitting at 47.5 points according to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI. Also, check out more from Totals Authority. You can also purchase picks by clicking here.
