Tennessee vs. Texas A&M Prediction
Is seven points too much to lay on Texas A&M when the Aggies host Tennessee at 3:30PM ET today?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Aggies are now 7-point home favorites versus the Volunteers after opening as a 6.5-point favorite earlier this week. As for the total, the number opened at 56 and has been bet up to 56.5.

The Volunteers have covered in four of their last five road games and had they kicked the extra point after their game-winning Hail Mary touchdown last week in Athens, they would have been 5-0 ATS in their last five road games. Tennessee is also 6-2 at the betting window in its last eight conference games and has covered in five of seven games coming off a straight up win.
The Aggies have covered in four of their last five games overall but are just 8-18 at the betting window in their last 26 conference games. They’re also 2-5 against the number in their last seven games versus a team with a winning record and have dropped five of six following an ATS loss.

OUR PREDICTION: Fast starts have been an issue for the Vols this season, as they’re averaging 22.8 points in the second half of games but just 10.2 in the first. Running back Jalen Hurd is also expected to miss today’s game after he missed most of the second half last week due to a lower extremity injury. He hasn’t practiced all week, so it’s doubtful he’ll suit up today. That would be a significant loss for Tennessee, but it’s not as if the Vols are hurting at running back. The team feels comfortable relying on Alvin Kamara and quarterback Joshua Dobbs is a threat to run as well. Even with Hurd out, the 7 points seems too high in a game that is evenly matched.
