The Eagles are 9-4 against the spread in their last 13 games in October but they haven’t been covering at home, going 1-5-2 at the betting window in their last eight games in Boston. They’re also 0-4-1 against the number in their last five conference games and have failed to cover in six of seven games coming off a successful cover in their last contest.

OUR PREDICTION: Boston College ranks 1st in total defense in yards allowed per game (202.2), 1st in passing yards allowed (124.0), sixth in rushing yards allowed (78.0) and 16th in points allowed (17.2). But look who the Eagles have played this season: Georgia Tech, UMass, Virginia Tech, Wagner and Buffalo. Outside of losing 17-14 to the Yellow Jackets, their most difficult opponent was Virginia Tech, which blew them out 49-0. The point is, if Clemson is motivated, the Tigers should roll tonight. The defensive numbers for BC are an illusion and the Eagles’ offense is horrible.
