76ers vs. Pacers Prediction

Will the 76ers cover as a double-digit underdog tonight when they visit the Pacers at 7:00PM ET?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Pacers are 12-point home favorites versus the 76ers while the over/under currently sits at 209 points. As of this writing, neither the side nor the total have moved off the original numbers posted by oddsmakers.

Bet Tonight’s NBA Action

76ERS KEY TRENDS: The Sixers have often bounced back at the betting window when coming off losses of 10 or more points, covering in four of their last five games in those situations. That said, they’re 15-37 against the spread in their last 52 games versus Eastern Conference foes and are 2-5 against the number in their last seven games coming off a loss.

PACERS KEY TRENDS: The Pacers have covered in four of their last five home games and are 6-2 against the spread in their last eight games coming off a straight up loss of 10 or more games as well. They’re just 1-5 against the number in their last six games overall, however, and are 1-4 at the betting window in their last five games versus foes from the Eastern Conference.

OUR PREDICTION: The Sixers are off to a 0-6 start but this is a big number for the Pacers to cover, even at home where they’re 3-0 and 2-1 against the spread. Rookie center Joel Embiid has been solid for the Sixers after playing under a minutes restriction after missing the last two seasons while recovering from multiple foot surgeries. He’s averaging 17.6 points and 4.4 turnovers in 21.2 minutes and should be able to keep the Sixers in the game just long enough to cover the big number.
