According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Panthers are 13.5-point home favorites versus the 49ers while the over/under currently sits at 45.5 points. Carolina opened as a 13-point favorite but has been bet up to -13.5 while the total opened at 44.5 and has been bet up a full point to 45.5.
SAN FRANCISCO: The 49ers crushed the Rams 28-0 on Monday night in their home opener, easily covering as a 2.5-point underdog while the under 43 cashed for bettors. Blaine Gabbert was 22-of-35 for 170 yards and a touchdown in the victory, while Carlos Hyde rushed 23 times for 88 yards and two scores. San Francisco’s young but talented defense held Todd Gurley to just 47 yards on 17 carries.
CAROLINA: The Panthers received a couple of extra days to stew about their 21-20 loss to the Broncos in Denver last week. Carolina failed to cover as a 3-point road favorite in the game and the over 40.5 barely hit at the betting window. Cam Newton was 18-of-33 for 194 yards with one touchdown and one interception, while Kelvin Benjamin was a bright spot coming off ACL surgery, hauling in six-of-12 targets for 91 yards and a touchdown.

OUR PICK 2: This should be a rout. The Rams made the 49ers look like world-beaters on Monday night but San Francisco is coming off a short week of rest and preparation while Carolina received extra days.
