Vikings vs. Panthers Predictions
Will the 2-0 Vikings cover as an underdog today when they visit the Panthers at 1:00PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Panthers are 7-point home favorites versus the Vikings after opening as a 7.5-point favorite earlier in the week. The total, meanwhile, sits at 43 points after opening at that same number.
The Vikings have been terrific on the road for bettors, covering in 10 of their last 11 games away from Minnesota. They’re also 39-17 at the betting window in their last 56 games overall and 22-8 against the number in their last 30 games overall. They’re a perfect 9-0 ATS in their last nine games after accumulating less than 90 yards rushing in their previous game as well.
The Panthers have been solid at the betting window when at home, going 20-7-1 against the spread in their last 28 games in Charlotte. They’re also 4-0 against the number in their last four games versus NFC opponents and are 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games after accumulating more than 350 total yards in their previous two games.

OUR PREDICTION: The Vikings have been outstanding to bettors for a year and two games but it’s going to be difficult for them to keep pace with the Panthers this afternoon. Adrian Peterson and left tackle Matt Kalil are out on offense, while Sharrif Floyd (out, knee), Xavier Rhodes (questionable, knee), Eric Kendricks (probable, ankle) and Danielle Hunter (probable, knee) are banged up defensively. If Minnesota is one-dimensional on offense, then the fragile Sam Bradford could be a sitting duck. The Vikes’ defense will keep them in the game for a while, but look for the Panthers to pull away at some point in the second half.
