Patriots vs. Bills Prediction
Without LeSean McCoy, can the Bills hang with Tom Brady and the Patriots today at 1:00PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Patriots are 5-point road favorites versus the Bills while the over/under currently sits at 47.5 points. New England is a 6-point favorite at some books and 5.5 at others, but the number has stayed within 5-6 throughout the week.
Tom Brady is 25-3 in his career against the Bills, with one of those losses coming in a 2014 Week 17 game where he played only the first half. According to Elias, Brady’s 25 wins against the Bills are the 2nd most by any starting quarterback against a single team since the 1970 Merger (Brett Favre – 26 wins vs Lions).
Including the playoffs, this will be the 17th time that Bill Belichick and Rex Ryan will meet as head coaches. The Patriots have won 11 of the previous 16 games, but Ryan’s 16-0 win in Week 4 this season was his largest against a Belichick-coached team. The Patriots are also 7-0 against divisional opponents that have a chance to sweep the season series since 2002, winning by an average margin of 24.1 points per game according to ESPN.com.

OUR PREDICTION: With McCoy out for the Bills, who are also without Sammy Watkins, it’s surprising this line isn’t higher. Still, we’ll take a flier on the Bills as a home underdog. The dog is 4-0-1 against the spread in the last five meetings between these two teams and Ryan usually puts together a good game plan against Brady. The Bills are also 4-1 against the spread in their last five games overall and are 5-2-1 against the number inside the division in their last eight games.
