Packers vs. Redskins Prediction
Will the Redskins hand the Packers their fourth consecutive loss while covering the spread tonight at 8:30PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Redskins are 3-point home favorites versus the Packers after opening as a 2.5-point favorite earlier this week. As for the total, the number hit the board at 51 but has been bet down to 49.
The Packers lost their third consecutive game and suffered their fourth loss in their last five contests in a 47-25 thrashing last Sunday against the Titans. They’re now 4-5 on the year but with no team pulling away in the NFC North, they still remain in the playoff mix. To go along with their three-game losing streak, the Packers have also failed to cover the spread in back-to-back games.
The Redskins improved to 5-3-1 on the year with a 26-20 victory over the Vikings last Sunday as a 2.5-point favorite. It was the second consecutive game that Washington has covered the spread, as the Redskins also covered as a 3-point underdog in a 27-27 tie with the Bengals in London three weeks ago. The Redskins remain in the mix for a wild card in the NFC but remain three wins behind first-place Dallas in the NFC East.

OUR PREDICTION: The Packers may get Clay Matthews back this week, which will certainly give their defense a boost, but their secondary remains severely banged up. They’ve also had issues running the ball since Eddie Lacy was placed on injured reserve and whatever magic Aaron Rodgers has had in the past has seemingly vanished. The Redskins are 6-1 against the spread in their last seven games overall and have covered in six of their last seven games versus an opponent that owns a losing record.
