Hawks to end their ATS streak tonight?
The Hawks have failed to cover the spread in five straight games but will that end tonight when they host the Kings at 8:00PM ET?
Despite dropping five consecutive games at the betting window the Hawks are still 3.5-point favorites for their matchup against the Kings tonight. According to oddsmakers from BetDSI, the over/under for tonight’s game is sitting at 208 points.
Atlanta hurt backers last night but failing to cover as a 4.5-point road favorite at Brooklyn in a 90-88 loss while Sacramento enters tonight game coming off three straight wins. But defense should play a huge factor in tonight’s game and that’s where the Hawks have the advantage. While they’re allowing just 99.5 points per game (14th in the NBA), the Kings are allowing 107.9 (28th). The Hawks also have a decided advantage in turnovers per contest (13th in the league at 14.8 compared to Sacramento’s mark of 28th and 16.3) and team fouls (17.3 per game compared to 21.3 to the Hawks).
This point spread should be closer to 6 or 7 but because the Kings have won three straight and the Hawks have been killing backers at the betting window, oddsmakers have seemingly adjusted by making the spread low.
