The latest on Chavez from Rotoworld: Chavez got a win Sunday despite allowing five earned runs over 5 2/3 innings versus the Mets. Chavez struck out four and didn’t issue a walk, but he surrendered seven hits — including three home runs — while failing to make it out of the sixth inning. He was backed by 12 runs from the Anaheim offense. Chavez will carry a 4-5 record and 4.61 ERA into his next start.
Straily (forearm) was able to make his start Saturday at L.A. Dodgers, allowing three earned runs, four hits and three walks with eight strikeouts over 5 2/3 innings in a win. Straily didn’t allow a hit until the fifth inning until Kike Hernandez belted a two-run homer. It was his first victory in seven starts dating back to April 11, his only previous win. He’ll look to build a winning streak tonight.
Bet Tonight’s Angels vs. Marlins Game
OUR PREDICTION: The Angels are 4-1 in their last five games in Miami and have won eight of their last 11 games versus the Marlins overall. Miami, meanwhile, is just 1-10 in its last 11 home games, is 6-21 in its last 27 games overall, and is 0-6 in its last six interleague home games. The Angels are a great play tonight getting plus odds.
