Will Sox shut down Tigers
With the ace on the mound, will the Chicago White Sox silence the Detroit Tigers today at 4:10PM ET?
The Tigers have Mike Pelfrey taking the mound tonight to face Chris Sale of the White Sox. According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Chicago is the clear favorite on the road, as the Sox are getting odds of -170 to win, while Detroit is getting a money line of +155 at home. The over/under total is listed at 8 runs.
Detroit is 26-28 overall, 13-12 at home and 33-18-3 with the over. Chicago is 29-26 overall, 16-14 on the road and 28-24-3 with the under. The Tigers picked up a 10-3 win on Friday night. They have now won four of their last six meetings against the White Sox.

Chris Sale looked like a sure-fire Cy Young candidate early in the season, but surprisingly, his numbers are worse than Mike Pelfrey’s over their last three starts. Sale has a 4.19 ERA in his last three outings while Pelfrey has a 3.18. Still, Pelfrey should get hit and exit early. Sale won’t be as bad, but Detroit is likely to find some runs at home against him. Look for the over to be a safe play today.
