Indians blown out

Cleveland is coming off a 13-0 loss to Baltimore on Friday night for the Tribe’s second loss in three games. Cleveland is 44-37 on the season, 19-19 on the road and 45-34 with the under. The Indians have Zach Plesac on the mound today. He is 3-2 on the season with a 2.33 ERA.

Mike Clevinger got shelled on Friday night, allowing seven runs in just 1.2 innings of work to fall to 1-2 on the season. The bullpen didn’t do much better, allowing six runs. Cleveland had just six hits at the plate. Oscar Mercado was the lone Indian with multiple hits. He also had the lone extra-base hit with a double.

Orioles end skid

Baltimore put an end to a three-game losing streak on Friday with the lopsided win over the Indians. The Orioles are now 23-58 on the season, 10-30 at home and 41-36 with the over. Baltimore has Andrew Cashner taking the mound today. He is 5-7 on the season with a 4.37 ERA.

The Orioles had 16 hits on Friday night, leading to the 13 runs. Chance Sisco had three hits while driving in five runs and scored three times. Anthony Santander also had three hits, driving in four while scoring twice. On the mound, John Means pitched five innings and allowed just one hit and no runs to improve to 7-4 on the season.

MLB Betting Trends

Cleveland

The Indians have won eight straight games following a loss and 10-4 in their last 14 games overall.

Baltimore

The Orioles are 14-39 in their last 53 home games, but they have won Cashner’s last four Saturday starts.

Prediction:

Cashner has actually been one of the better starters that the Orioles have. He has won three of his last four decisions. However, Cleveland has Plesac on the mound and he has allowed one run in four of his six starts. He should be able to help the Tribe bounce back. Baltimore was able to jump out quickly on Clevinger, but that won’t happen today. I also expect the Indians to get their hitting back against the Baltimore bullpen.

MLB Prediction: Cleveland Indians -170
