The White Sox are in a pretty good funk right now, losing seven of their last nine. Chicago acquired Shields, but his first start was a disaster. He went just two innings and allowed seven earned runs. Boyd doesn’t have outstanding numbers, but he should have the run support that Shields won’t. The Tigers have won seven of their last nine and Ian Kinsler has been very hot at the plate. Look for him to lead Detroit to another win tonight.
