Giants vs. Phillies Prop Odds
(The Spread) – Carlos Beltran will make his debut for the Giants tonight in Philadelphia. How many hits will he collect?
Oddsmakers from online sports book Bodog have compiled MLB player props for tonight’s Giants-Phillies game at 7:05PM ET, including odds for Beltran. For the prop, “Most Hits, Runs and RBIs,” Beltran has been pitted against Chase Utley and is a –120 money line favorite to top the Phillies’ second baseman, who is –110 on the ML.
How many strikeouts will Tim Lincecum compile in Thursday night’s game? The over/under total for this prop is 6, with the juice sitting at –115 on both the over and under. “The Freak” currently has a SO/9 rate of 9.6, so there’s a decent chance that he’ll rack up more than six Ks. That said, he was scratched from his start on Tuesday because of the flu and despite the fact that he says he’s feeling better, he also doesn’t like pitching in the heat. Thus, he may struggle.
How many total hits, runs and RBIs will Giants’ second baseman Jeff Keppinger rack up tonight? The over/under total for this prop has been set at 2.5, with the over listed at +130 and the under at –160 juice. In his last 10 games, Keppinger has collected a hit in eight of them.
Will Shane Victorino record a hit? A wager on “Yes” is –200, while a wager on “No” is +160. The Phillies’ outfielder is 1-for-7 but has collected a hit in five of his last six games. That said, he also faces a tough opponent in Lincecum, who he is 4-for-21 against over his career.
Will Pablo Sandoval hit a home run? A wager on “Yes” has +600 odds while a wager on “No” is –1000 on the money line. “Kung Fu Panda” has gone homerless in his last seven games but six of his nine dingers have come on the road this year and Citizens Bank Park is a bandbox.
Will Ryan Howard hit a home run? A wager on “Yes” could net a bettor +475 money line odds, while a wager on “No” is currently listed at –700. Howard hit a home run on Tuesday night and has three off of Lincecum in 19 at bats.
The first pitch of tonight’s game will be thrown at 7:05PM ET. The Phillies come into the game with a 65-38 record and are in first place in the NL East, while the Giants are 60-44 this season and currently reside in first place in the NL West.
