Brewers vs. Cardinals Tuesday Prediction
The Cardinals have not fared well against the Brewers over the last two years but pounded their NL Central rivals last night to the tune of, 13-5. Despite a relative unknown starting tonight, are Marcell Ozuna and the Cards a good bet to beat the Brewers again?

Milwaukee Brewers Fantasy Spin
Ryan Braun went 2-for-4 with a homer in a loss to the Cardinals on Monday. Braun launched one of three homers the Brewers hit off of Jack Flaherty in the fifth inning with one out and no one on. It’s the fifth round-tripper of the year for Braun, who is starting to hit after a terrible start to the season. He’s now slugging .436 on the young year, and you should expect to see that .205 average and .235 on-base percentage to continue to rise as the season progresses. They just might not rise enough to be counted on as a regular in mixed redraft leagues.
St. Louis Cardinals Fantasy Spin
Dexter Fowler went 4-for-5 with a homer, four RBI and three runs scored on Monday in a 13-5 rout of the Brewers. Fowler launched a two-run homer off of Adrian Houser into the right-field stands to extend the Cardinals’ lead to 3-0 in the fourth inning. He also singled in a run in the seventh, and brought in the fourth RBI with an infield single an inning later. An awesome start to the season for the veteran outfielder, who is now hitting .313 with a .403 on-base percentage. Considering his recent struggles, you would be wise to take this with a pinch of salt, but Fowler has looked the part in the first month of the season. It’s certainly possible this is (relatively) real.
MLB Betting Trends
Milwaukee
The Brewers are 4-1 in their last five games at Busch Stadium despite losing last night in St. Louis.
St. Louis
The Cardinals are just 3-9 in their last 12 games versus the Brewers.
Prediction:
Daniel Ponce de Leon will start for the injured Michael Wacha tonight and while he is a relative unknown, he did get some big-league experience a year ago. He could struggle against this talented Brewers lineup but with the way the Cardinals are swinging the bats right now, I’ll take the risk. St. Louis is hitting .341 with six home runs and 22 runs scored in 129 at bats versus Milwaukee starter Zach Davies.
The Pick: St. Louis Cardinals -120
