The Twins are 2 games in back of the Astros for the second Wild Card spot entering the day while the Royals are tied with Toronto for the top seed in the AL playoffs. Oddsmakers have the Royals as a -115 favorite on the road today, while the Twins are getting odds of +105 to win. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 8 runs. The Twins are just 3-7 in their last 10 at home while these two are 9-1-2 with the under in their last 12 meetings.
The final game of note has the Arizona Diamondbacks (78-82) hosting the Houston Astros (85-75) at 8:10PM ET. The Astros have a 1-game lead on the Angels in the Wild Card race and are 2 games behind Texas in the AL West. Houston has Collin McHugh (18-7, 3.98) on the mound to face Jeremy Hellickson (9-11, 4.60) of the Diamondbacks. Oddsmakers have the Astros as a -155 favorite at home in this game, while the Diamondbacks are getting a money line of +145 to win. The over/under total for the game has been set at 8.5 runs. Following Friday’s 21-5 win, Houston has won five of its last six against Arizona and these two have hit the over in four of their last five meetings.
