The featured game of the day has the New York Mets (83-61) looking to win a ninth straight when they host the Miami Marlins (61-83) at 7:10PM ET. The Mets have Jacob deGrom (13-7, 2.40 ERA) on the mound to face Tom Koehler (9-13, 3.99). According to oddsmakers at GTBets, the Mets are the overwhelming favorite to win, as they are getting odds of -235 to win while the Marlins are getting a money line of +215 to win. The over/under total for the game has been set at 7 runs. The Marlins are 2-6 in their last 8 games in New York and these two have hit the over in 11 of their last 14 meetings in New York.

The San Francisco Giants (76-68) look to win a fifth straight tonight when they host the Cincinnati Reds at 10:15PM ET. The Giants have Christopher Heston (11-10, 3.55) on the mound to face John Lamb (1-3, 5.18) of the Reds. Oddsmakers have the Giants as a -150 favorite to win this game, while the Reds are getting a money line of +140 to prevail. The over/under total for the game has been set at 7.5 runs. The Giants have now won 21 of their last 27 home games and 14 of their last 20 Tuesday games. The Reds are just 9-21 in their last 30.

The final game of note is the battle in the AL West when the Texas Rangers (76-67) host the Houston Astros (77-67) at 8PM ET. The Astros have ½ a game lead on the Rangers for first and they will send Collin McHugh (16-7, 3.89) on the mound to face Derek Holland (3-2, 3.13) of the Rangers. Oddsmakers have the Astros as a -115 favorite on the road while the Rangers have odds of +105 to prevail. The over/under total for the game has been set at 9 runs. The Astros are 9-1 in McHugh’s last 10 Tuesday starts while the Rangers have hit the under in 6 of their last 8 home games.
