According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Blue Jays are currently 30/1 to win the 2017 World Series, putting them in the same company as the Detroit Tigers and New York Yankees. The Jays also have odds of 10/1 to win the American League Pennant in 2017, listing them behind only the Red Sox (9/4), Indians (4/1) and Astros (6/1) in terms of the odds.

The Blue Jays have a clear need for another outfielder and despite Bautista’s efforts to cash in big one last time at age 36, the two appear to be a perfect match. Toronto would have received a draft pick had Bautista signed elsewhere, but the club nor its fans will be disappointed if Bautista returns. He has 265 home runs in 1,078 games with Toronto. Only Carlos Delgada has hit more in franchise history.
