Johnny Cueto helped the Giants earn their first victory of 2017 by allowing four runs in five innings. He wasn’t great, but the Giants offense was outstanding while scoring eight runs in an 8-4 win. While filling in for the injured Denard Span, Gorkys Hernandez went 2-for-5 with a double, four RBI and a walk.
Patrick Corbin was lifted after allowing three runs, two of which were earned, in four innings in the D-Backs’ loss last night. Paul Goldschmidt homered in the loss, while Yasmany Tomas went 0-for-4 and is now hitless in eight at-bats to start the season.

With Arizona getting plus odds, the Diamondbacks are a value play tonight against a Giants team that has had bullpen issues dating back to last season.
