Braves vs. Giants Prediction
The Giants’ bats are struggling but will they and the Braves combine to fall under the total tonight when the two teams clash at 10:15PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Giants are -225 money line favorites versus the Braves, who have odds of +185 to pull off the upset in San Francisco tonight. The pitching matchup is set and it’ll be Joel de la Cruz versus Jeff Samardzija. Given that pitching matchup, the over/under currently sits at 8 runs.
Bet Tonight’s Braves vs. Giants Game
ATLANTA: de la Cruz surrendered six runs on seven hits over 5 2/3 innings in a no-decision versus the Nationals on Sunday. Bryce Harper hit a three-run home run in the third inning and Chris Heisey went deep with a two-run shot in the sixth. He now owns a 4.47 ERA in 44 1/3 innings this season.
SAN FRANCISCO: Even though he took the loss, Samardzija pitched well on Sunday night versus the Mets. He was out-dueled by New York ace Noah Syndergaard, who pitched eight innings of scoreless baseball, but Samardzija carried a no-hitter into the seventh before surrendering two runs on three hits. He racked up seven strikeouts in the moss and is now 10-9 with a 4.17 ERA and a 1.20 WHIP on the season.

OUR PICK: The under is 5-0-1 in Samardzijas last six starts overall and is 4-0-1 in his last five starts versus the National League East. The under is also4-1 in de la Cruz’s last five starts overall and while he did get beat up in his last start, the Giants’ offense is struggling at the moment. Assuming Samardzija can build off his last start and quiet Atlanta’s bats, the under should cash tonight for bettors.
