Mariners vs. Rangers Prediction
Can the Mariners cool a Rangers team that has played well over its last 10 games? The AL West rivals meet tonight at 5:05PM ET.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Rangers are -119 money line favorites versus the visiting Mariners, who have odds of +100 to pull off the small upset. With Yovani Gallardo set to face Martin Perez in the pitching matchup, the over/under currently sits at 11 runs.

From Rotoworld: Gallardo fared poorly in Thursday’s loss to the Rockies, allowing six hits, five runs, and three walks while recording two strikeouts. Gallardo’s afternoon was a disaster from the word go. The Rockies bludgeoned him for four runs in the second inning and grabbed another in the third on a towering solo blast by Nolan Arenado. This was the second time in three outings Gallardo has failed to make it out of the fourth inning. With Seattle’s rotation getting closer to full strength, his spot isn’t as secure as it once was. The 31-year-old will look to get back on track next time out against Minnesota.
Perez allowed two earned runs over five innings Saturday in a no-decision versus the Nationals. Texas wound up winning the game in extra innings. Perez gave up seven hits but issued just one walk and struck out five. He’ll carry a 4.56 ERA and 1.63 WHIP into his next start at home versus the Mariners.
Bet Today’s Mariners vs. Rangers Game
OUR PREDICTION: The Mariners are 7-1 in their last eight games when their opponent scores five runs or more in its previous game and has won five of seven coming off a loss. The Rangers, meanwhile, have dropped five of seven at home, are 1-4 in their last five home games versus a right-handed starter, and are 4-11 in Perez’s last 15 starts. Since oddsmakers expect this game to be a shootout with a run total of 11 runs, the pitching matchup is basically a coin toss. Grab the value with the underdog.
