According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Rays are -122 money line favorites versus the Rangers, who have odds of +107 to pull off the upset in Arlington. With Matt Andriese set to face Nick Martinez in the pitching matchup, the over/under currently sits at 10 runs.

From Rotoworld: Andriese scattered six hits over eight innings Thursday in the Rays’ 4-0 shutout of the Angels. Andriese had a decent April (3.86 ERA), but it came without the kind of peripherals that boded well for the future (22/10 K/BB, 6 HR in 28 innings). This month’s 2.67 ERA has come with a better 30/11 K/BB ratio and three homers allowed in 30 1/3 innings.
Martinez allowed four runs on seven hits over five innings in Thursday’s loss to the Red Sox. Perhaps no stat line better encapsulates Nick Martinez: not very good, but not awful, either. His 4.69 ERA through seven starts tells a similar story. At least he’s reliable — in all seven of those starts, he’s gone at least five innings but no more than seven. Martinez will carry a 1-3 record into Tuesday’s start against the Rays.
Bet Tonight’s Rays vs. Rangers Game
OUR PREDICTION: The Rays have won five of their last six games overall, are 4-1 in Andriese’s last five starts, and are 10-4 in his last 14 outings versus a team with a losing record. The Rangers, meanwhile, are just 3-8 in Martinez’s last 11 starts, are 1-4 in his last five outings when he’s coming off our days of rest, and have dropped six of their last seven games overall.
