RAYS KEY TRENDS: The Rays have lost five of their last six games overall and are just 1-5 in their last six divisional games. They’ve also struggled to win with Snell on the mound, dropping six of his last seven road games and going 1-4 in his last five road starts versus a team with a winning record.
RED SOX KEY TRENDS: The Red Sox have fared well against American League East rivals, winning 15 of their last 22 games against the division. They’re also 6-2 in their last eight home games and are 6-1 in Wright’s last seven starts versus the AL East.
Bet Today’s Rays vs. Red Sox Game
OUR PICK: Wright is coming off a performance in which he was crushed on Wednesday by the Orioles. He surrendered eight runs on eight hits, including four home runs, while recording just four outs in 12-5 loss. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings while striking out one batter as his knuckleball wasn’t fooling anyone. Snell has a 3.18 ERA through 11 1/3 innings to start the year and while the Rays continue to be cautious with the youngster, he has loads of talent. I’ll roll the dice on Snell and the Rays this morning.
