PUBLIC BETTING INFORMATION

The public is backing the Indians today. Cleveland is currently getting 52 percent of the wagers for this game on the road against the Angels.

KEY INJURIES

The Indians continue to be without Michael Brantley, who is on the injury report due to an ankle injury. He is on the DL after offseason surgery but is expected to return sometime in April. L.A. second baseman Ian Kinsler is on the 10-day DL due to a groin injury but could return next week.

BETTING STRATEGIES

The Indians earned a 6-0 win over the Angels in the series opener on Monday. Led by starter Mike Clevinger, the Cleveland pitchers allowed just six hits over the nine innings with seven strikeouts and two walks. Clevinger lasted 5.1 innings in the win. Edwin Encarnacion had an inside-the-park home run to lead the hitters while Tyler Naquin drove in a pair of runs.

JC Ramirez lasted just 4.2 innings for the Angels on the mound, allowing five runs on five hits, including three home runs. Andrelton Simmons and Jefry Marte were the lone Angels to get a pair of hits.

The Cleveland pitching staff was the story in the first game of the series and it could be today as well. Tomlin didn’t have a great ERA last season, but he didn’t walk a lot of hitters and still managed a winning record. Richards looked shaky against Oakland in the first outing and faces another tough lineup today. With Cleveland as the underdog, I will take my chances on them.
