Chicago aims to bounce back vs. Cleveland
After hammering the Cubs in last night’s World Series opener, the Indians can’t wait to get back to the field for Game 2. Thankfully for the hosts, their wait just became a little shorter.
Due to the threat of inclement weather, Wednesday’s affair between the two clubs has been moved up to 7:05 p.m. ET. Online sports book Bovada.lv gives Chicago odds of -153 to bounce back. Terry Francona’s crew, on the other hand, represents a +138 underdog. The over/under run figure rests at seven.
With Corey Kluber leading the way, the Tribe blanked the class of the National League about 18 hours ago. This evening, Trevor Bauer will attempt to sustain the momentum on the bump. The righty made it through merely two-thirds of an inning in his ALCS nod before departing due to a finger issue.
Bauer will deal with a bit of a surprise, too, insofar as Kyle Schwarber returns to Joe Maddon’s lineup. The slugger is penciled in at designated hitter despite missing virtually the entire regular season due to torn knee ligaments. Such a move also relegates Jason Heyward to the bench once again, with Jorge Soler manning right field.

As for the visitors’ hurler, Jake Arrieta hopes to recover from a rocky Championship Series against the Dodgers. Given the Indians’ ability to grind out at-bats, though, we’re expecting a fairly robust offensive affair. Expend the encore to boil down to the respective bullpens.
