Rangers vs. Nationals Prediction
Following their 5-2 loss on Friday night, are the Nationals a good bet to bounce back against the Rangers today at 12:05PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Nationals are -200 money line favorites to beat the Rangers, who have odds of +170. With Martin Perez set to face Gio Gonzalez in the pitching matchup, the over/under currently sits at 9.5 runs, up from the original number of 9.

Latest from Rotoworld: Perez was crushed for six runs (five earned) on seven hits over 3 2/3 innings in Sunday’s loss to the Astros. Perez surrendered a trio of solo home runs in this one, two to George Springer and one to Carlos Correa. He walked three and struck out two in the contest. This makes two consecutive stinkers for the 26-year-old southpaw, who allowed five runs to the Rays across five innings last time out. His next start could be a troublesome one, too, as he will be hitting the road to take on the Nationals. Perez will carry a 4.64 ERA and 1.64 WHIP into that outing.
Gonzalez allowed two runs and four hits over six innings Monday against the Dodgers. Gonzalez picked up his fifth win in the contest. He’s walked 37 batters, the highest total in the NL, but it hasn’t stopped him from posting a 3.03 ERA in 12 starts. There’s a pretty good chance that he’ll top 4.00 the rest of the way.
Bet Today’s Rangers vs. Nationals Game
OUR PREDICTION: Perez is 0-1 with a 7.80 ERA in his last three starts. He’s also 0-2 with a 4.29 ERA away from home this season and 4-16 with a 5.15 ERA in 30 road starts in his career. The Rangers will likely be without Adrian Beltre today and have had to juggle their defense, with Joey Gallo starting at first base again last night. The Nationals are 20-8 in their last 28 games coming off a loss, so don’t be afraid to lay the runline odds on Washington.
SATURDAY MLB PREDICTION: WASHINGTON NATIONALS -1.5 (-113)
