Bet Tonight’s Blue Jays vs. Brewers Game
From Rotoworld: Biagini was walloped for six runs — five earned — in four innings and was charged with a loss to the Braves on Wednesday. All six runs came in a nightmare first inning. He gave up a leadoff single, then fielded a comebacker and made a throwing error on what should have been a double-play ball. He issued a walk to load the bases, then another walk that brought in a run. Nick Markakis followed with an RBI single, then Kurt Suzuki swatted a three-run tater. Biagini was able to settle down to throw three scoreless innings after that. Tonight’s bad game was his first clunker of the season. He falls to 1-2 with a 3.41 ERA in 31 2/3 innings split between the bullpen and rotation.
Nelson won after allowing two runs in six innings Tuesday versus the Padres. Nelson struck out eight for the second straight start, though eight strikeouts against the Padres isn’t quite as impressive as last week’s eight strikeouts against the Red Sox. Nelson is 2-2 with a 3.86 ERA.
