From Rotoworld: Freeland allowed three earned runs, eight hits and two walks with four strikeouts over six innings in a loss against the Cardinals on Saturday. Freeland wasn’t terrible in this one, but Adam Wainwright was nearly untouchable on the other side. He has posted six quality starts over the past seven outings and is worth a roster spot in most fantasy leagues.
Gallardo was hammered for 10 runs – nine earned – and nine hits with two walks and four strikeouts over 3 2/3 innings in a loss against the White Sox on Saturday. Gallardo’s ERA mushroomed from 4.53 to 5.84 as a result of the awful outing. He hasn’t been terribly reliable at home this season, going 0-2 with a 7.00 ERA across five starts at Safeco Field. Homers have done him in lately, as he has served up four homers over his past 10 innings after yielding just three long balls through his first 39 1/3 frames.
