According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Mets are -150 money line favorites versus the Padres, who have odds of +140 to pull off the upset in New York. With Jarred Cosart set to face Robert Gsellman in the pitching matchup, the over/under currently sits at 8.5 runs.

Via Rotoworld: Cosart let up five hits and one run over five innings of solid work Thursday in the Padres’ 4-2 loss to Milwaukee. He walked one and struck out three. Cosart looked sharp in his return from a month-long hamstring injury, holding the Brewers scoreless until the fifth when Eric Sogard finally broke through for an RBI single. 49 of the right-hander’s 72 pitches went for strikes. Cosart handed San Diego’s bullpen the lead but Ryan Buchter squandered it by allowing a two-run double to Sogard in the seventh.
Latest on Gsellman: Gsellman will indeed be skipped on his next scheduled turn in the Mets’ rotation. Upcoming off days give the Mets the ability to roll with four starters for a bit, and they’ll do just that with Gsellman sitting on an ugly 7.07 ERA through 35 2/3 innings this season. Gsellman will work in long relief until the Mets need him back in the rotation.
