Arrieta allowed four earned runs, five hits and a walk with nine strikeouts over six innings in a loss Friday at L.A. Dodgers. He has a very un-Arrieta-like 4.92 ERA. After starting out 3-0 with a 3.65 ERA over his first four starts he is now just 2-4 with a 5.88 ERA over his past six outings. He has been an even bigger nightmare on the road, going 1-4 with a 7.62 ERA in his past five assignments away from the Friendly Confines. (Rotoworld)
Perdomo logged a quality start in Friday’s loss to the Nationals, surrendering three runs on six hits over his six innings of work. The right-hander racked up six strikeouts on the night while walking two. All of the damage against him came via the long ball, with Trea Turner launching a solo homer to lead off the game and Michael Taylor adding a two-run shot in the fourth. Still winless on the season, Perdomo will carry a 5.61 ERA and 1.48 WHIP into Wednesday’s matchup against the Cubs.
