Latest on Pivetta from Rotoworld: Pivetta will be recalled to start Monday in Atlanta. Pivetta’s first go-round in the majors didn’t go well, as he posted a 5.12 ERA over four starts, although he did strike out over a batter per frame. He should get a chance to stick around for a while if he pitches well.
Colon allowed nine runs – just two earned – with seven hits, one walk and a pair of strikeouts over 2 1/3 innings in a loss Tuesday at L.A. Angels. Colon threw 46 of his 66 pitches for strikes, but Jace Peterson had a throwing error and Dansby Swanson committed his 10th error on a ground ball. Colon also didn’t help his cause with a throwing miscue. The 44-year-old has the worst ERA in the majors at 6.99.
