Latest on Nola from Rotoworld: Nola (back) has been cleared to return to the Phillies’ rotation Sunday in Pittsburgh. Nola reported no abnormal discomfort on Tuesday after throwing 6 1/3 shutout innings in a rehab start with Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Monday night. The young right-hander has been on the disabled list since late April because of a lower back strain.
Kuhl was touched up by the Nationals for six runs on 10 hits and a walk over four frames Tuesday. Kuhl was displaying terrific velocity, even touching 99 mph at one point. It didn’t matter, though, obviously, as he allowed a career-high 10 hits – including a homer to Wilmer Difo – while also walking one. Kuhl hasn’t gone more than five innings in an outing since April 18. He’ll bring a 6.69 ERA into Sunday’s matchup.
