KEY INJURIES

Both teams have no new players listed on the injury report for today’s game.

BETTING STRATEGIES

After Oakland picked up a 6-5 win on Thursday, the Angels bounced back on Friday with a 2-1 win. Tyler Skaggs pitched 6.1 scoreless innings to lead Los Angeles in the win. Skaggs had five strikeouts with no walks. Blake Parker allowed one run in the ninth, but still earned the save. At the plate, Mike Trout hit his first home run of the season while Justin Upton had a pair of hits.

Sean Manaea had a strong outing for Oakland on the mound. He went 7.2 innings and allowed just one run on four hits with seven strikeouts and no walks. Jonathan Lucroy drove in the lone run for Oakland.

These two have been evenly matched thus far, but the pitching edge has gone to Oakland in my mind. The Athletics had the better start on Friday, they just couldn’t produce the runs. Today, I think Mengden has the capability of going deep into the game as well. Shoemaker has had injury issues keep him from being consistent. Being at home, I will take Oakland behind the arm of Mengden
