According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Braves are -112 money line favorites versus the Marlins, who have odds of +102 to pull off the upset in Atlanta. With Dan Straily set to face Sean Newcomb in the pitching matchup, the over/under currently sits at 9.

From Rotoworld: Straily allowed four runs and only made it through four innings but escaped with a no-decision against the Pirates on Saturday. It could have been worse as Straily benefited from a runner being thrown out at home plate on an Andrew McCutchen double that had already driven in one run. Straily surrendered nine base hits and one walk while fanning three batters in the contest. Straily has been very effective at home and has pitched batting practice on the road. Overall he has a 4-4 record with a 3.89 ERA and 72 strikeouts in 71 2/3 innings.
Braves manager Brian Snitker on Monday officially announced that Newcomb will start Friday versus the Marlins. He certainly earned another turn after allowing just one unearned run while striking out seven over 6 1/3 innings against the Mets this past Saturday. The control issues Newcomb had in the minors could pop up at any time, and he’s not guaranteed anything beyond Friday. However, you could do worse if you’re looking for a streaming option.
