Indians vs. Royals Pick
Will the Cleveland Indians and Kansas City Royals put up enough runs to hit the over when the two meet today at 2:15PM ET?
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, the Indians are the clear favorite on the road today, as they are getting odds of -190 to win. The Royals are listed with a money line of +170 to prevail, while the over/under total has been set at 8.5 runs.

The pitching matchup for today’s game has Carlos Carrasco (5-2, 2.89 ERA) on the mound for the Indians to face Jason Hammel (1-6, 6.18) of the Royals. Hammel has been struggling all season and he has allowed at least three runs in his last four starts. He has 40 strikeouts with 23 walks this season and a WHIP of 1.71. Carrasco has given up 21 earned runs over 65.1 innings of work this season. He has 65 strikeouts with 16 walks and a WHIP of 0.92.
The Royals took the series opener on Friday, 4-0. KC has now won three of its last four against Cleveland. The Royals are now 23-30 overall, 14-13 at home and 31-20 with the under. Cleveland is 28-25 overall, 16-11 on the road and 31-19 with the under.
Friday’s game saw Jason Vargas pitch a complete-game shutout for the Royals. He had just three strikeouts while allowing seven hits on 103 pitches. Josh Tomlin pitched pretty well too, giving up just three runs in 7.1 innings. Mike Moustakas hit his 14th home run of the season in the win while Eric Hosmer had his 11th homer.
Neither team has been terribly reliable for runs this season, as both have hit the under frequently. Hammel is a mess for the Royals but is facing a Cleveland lineup that can get cold in a hurry. Carrasco shouldn’t have any problem against KC, as team that isn’t averaging 4 runs per game. I like another under to hit tonight in this series.
