Orioles vs. Royals Pick
Can the Kansas City Royals slow down the bats of the Baltimore Orioles at all when the two meet up tonight at 8:15PM ET?
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, the Orioles are the slight favorite on the road, as they are getting odds of -115 to win. The Royals are listed with a money line of -105 to win, while the over/under total is set at 8.5 runs.

The Orioles will have Dylan Bundy (5-1, 2.17 ERA) on the mound to face Danny Duffy (2-3, 3.50) of the Royals. Bundy has been a very consistent presence for the Orioles. He has won his last four decisions and the O’s have won his last five starts. He has yet to allow more than three runs in an outing, going at least six innings each start. Bundy’s WHIP this season is 1.05. Duffy had a solid start against the Indians last week, but his team has failed to give him any run support in three of his last four starts. He has a WHI of 1.35 this season.
Baltimore is coming off a 7-6 loss to the Nationals in D.C. on Wednesday. That loss snapped a six-game winning streak. Baltimore is now 22-11 overall and 9-8 on the road. The Orioles are putting up 4.52 runs per game while allowing 4.12. Jonathan Schoop is hitting .306 with five home runs and 18 RBI to lead the team while Manny Machado has nine home runs and 22 RBI.
The Royals are actually coming off a series win over the Rays this week, taking three of four in Tampa. Kansas City is 13-21 overall and 8-9 at home this season. KC puts up just 3.03 runs per game while allowing 4.18. Lorenzo Cain is leading the team with a .284 average, but has just one home run and seven RBI with nine stolen bases. Salvador Perez has seven home runs and 20 RBI with a .283 average.
The Royals have been respectable at home, but their lack of run support should continue to haunt Duffy. Duffy has been a good pitcher this season, but he isn’t going to be able to shut down this Baltimore lineup. Bundy has been stellar against much better batting orders than KC. I don’t see the Royals being able to produce many hits and runs, which should allow the Orioles to cruise to a win.
