Yankees vs. Red Sox Prediction
Following their loss last night, will the Yankees rebound with a victory tonight against the Red Sox at 7:05PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Red Sox and Yankees are both -105 on the money line, respectively, to win tonight’s game. With Rick Porcello set to face CC Sabathia in the pitching matchup, the over/under currently sits at 9 runs.

From Rotoworld: Porcello logged a quality start in Friday’s loss to the Orioles, surrendering three runs on eight hits over his six innings of work. Porcello walked one and punched out five on the night. He fell behind early in this one, allowing solo homers to Seth Smith and Manny Machado in the first inning, but settled in nicely afterwards. The reigning American League Cy Young Award winner now sits at a disappointing 3-7 on the season to go with his 4.24 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and 73/14 K/BB ratio in 74 1/3 innings.
Sabathia allowed a run on five hits over 6 1/3 innings, striking out seven, in Thursday’s win over the Blue Jays. The win was the fourth in a row for Sabathia, who hasn’t allowed more than two runs in any of those four starts. It’s worth noting that he’s beaten the Royals, Rays, Athletics and now Jays in those four starts — not exactly a murderer’s row — but stats are stats. He’s now 6-2 on the year with a 4.12 ERA and 1.34 WHIP in 11 starts. Sabathia will try to make it five straight when he faces the Red Sox on Wednesday.
Bet Tonight’s Red Sox vs. Yankees Game
OUR PREDICTION: Despite winning the first game of this series on Monday night, the Red Sox are just 1-5 in their last six games versus the Yankees and 1-4 in their last five road games versus New York. The Yankees, meanwhile, are a perfect 4-0 in Sabathia’s last four starts and are 7-0 in his last seven home starts. With Boston struggling against left-handers of late, New York is a great low-cost buy tonight at home.
