Will the Los Angeles Dodgers face any challenge on their way toward an NL West title this season? Here’s what the oddsmakers think.
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, the Dodgers are the overwhelming favorite to win the NL West, as they are listed with -1800 odds. Other odds listed are the Arizona Diamondbacks (+1000) and the Colorado Rockies (+4000). The San Diego Padres and San Francisco Giants aren’t even listed with odds.

The Dodgers have a large lead in the NL West. They enter the break at 61-29, which is the best record in baseball, aside from the NL or the NL West. Los Angeles also has the best run differential in baseball at +163. They have scored 463 while allowing just 300.
The Diamondbacks are having a good year at 53-36. That’s the second-best record in the NL. However, they still are 7.5 games out of first in the NL West. Arizona has posted 446 runs this season while allowing only 344.
Colorado is also having a good season at 52-39, but the Rockies find themselves fighting for the second Wild Card spot. They are 9.5 games behind the Dodgers in the NL East and 2 games behind Arizona. Colorado has scored 461 runs this season while allowing 419.
The Padres and Giants are a mess. San Diego is 22 games out of first at 38-50 while the Giants are 27 games back at 34-56. The Padres have scored a league-worst 312 runs, while the Giants have allowed 453 runs this season. San Diego also is the only MLB team with a run differential worse than -100.
