Los Angeles prevailed in Game 2 of the series by a count of 8-5 at home Saturday night. Arizona has won six of the last 10 meetings, but the Dodgers have won the most important two with their wins in this series. The total has gone over seven times including the two NLDS contests.

Yu Darvish (10-12, 3.86 ERA) will draw the start for Los Angeles, while the D-backs counter with Zack Greinke (17-7, 3.20). Darvish had a 1.16 WHIP with 209 strikeouts in 186 2/3 innings during the regular season. He allowed one earned run on two hits with nine strikeouts and no walks over seven innings in a 9-3 home win over the Padres his last regular season start. Darvish has a 2.44 ERA in 92 1/3 road innings this year. He gave up two earned runs on five hits with 10 strikeouts and two walks over five innings in a win over Arizona earlier this season. Greinke sports a 107 WHIP with 215 strikeouts in 202 1/3 innings. He pitched the NL Wild Card Game for Arizona, giving up four earned runs on six hits with one strikeout and one walk over 3 2/3 innings in an 11-8 home win over the Rockies. Greinke is 13-1 at home this year with a 2.87 ERA over 116 innings. He is 1-2 in four starts against the Dodgers, posting a 3.65 ERA across 24 2/3 innings with 24 strikeouts and 10 walks.

In Saturday’s game, Logan Forsythe helped lead the charge as he was 3-for-5 with a stolen base, three runs and an RBI. Austin Barnes went 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, a stolen base two runs and two RBIs. Yasiel Puig finished 3-for-4 with two RBIs. Kenta Maeda earned the win in relief. Paul Goldschmidt paced the D-backs with a two-run homer and a walk in three at-bats. Jake Lamb was 2-for-4 with a run. Robbie Ray gave up four earned runs in 4 1/3 innings to take the loss.

Bet on Dodgers vs. Diamondbacks

Greinke rises to the occasion more often than not in these spots and should bounce back well after his rocky outing in the NL Wild Card Game. He has the double motivation of keeping Arizona’s season alive and facing his former team. Darvish hasn’t been as reliable as usual this year and it’s difficult to put a lot of weight into his strong finish to the regular season considering the competition was not the best the MLB has to offer. Now he gets to face a jam-packed lineup in the ballpark where they’ve been terrorizing pitchers all season. We like Arizona to win at Chase Field tonight.
