According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Red Sox are -125 money line favorites to beat the Blue Jays tonight at 7:10PM ET, while Toronto has odds of +105 to pull off the small upset. As for the total, the number sits at 9 runs.

Josh Donaldson hit his fifth home run of the season, which was a three-run shot, as the Jays came from behind to beat the Yankees 4-2 on Thursday night. Donaldson finished 2-for-4 on the night and has now hit safely in every one of the 10 games that he’s played in this season.

As for the Red Sox, they’re currently dealing with some turmoil as Pablo Sandoval had to go an MRI on his shoulder on Thursday. Beat writer Rob Bradford said the results won’t be available until today at the earliest but some of speculated that the “injury” is actually related to Sandoval’s weight issues. The third baseman’s former trainer Ethan Banning told the Boston Herald that Sandoval needs a “baby sitter” to help him watch his weight and that food, not exercise, is the problem for the former World Series MVP.
OUR PICK: R.A. Dickey will take the mound tonight for the Blue Jays, who are 4-1 in his last five road starts against the Red Sox. Toronto is also 7-2 in Dickey’s last nine road starts overall and 13-5 in his last 13 starts period. The Red Sox will counter with Rick Porcello tonight. Boston is 0-4 in his last four starts when the team’s opponent allows two runs or less in its previous game.
