Santana (1-0) was solid in his season debut, allowing just one run on two hits over seven innings in a win over the Royals. He walked two while striking out three and the one run came on a Mike Moustakas solo home run. The 34-year-old is one of the few bright spots in Minnesota’s starting rotation and has proven to be durable.
Quintana was shelled for six runs on five hits, including three home runs, while walking three over 5 1/3 innings of work in a 6-3 loss to the Tigers. Perhaps a rainout the day before messed with Quintana’s routine but nevertheless, it was a rocky start for Chicago’s ace. Quintana has been the subject of trade rumors since last winter so maybe that was weighing on the starter’s mind as well.
Bet Today’s Twins vs. White Sox Game

They’re also 4-1 in their last five games after allowing five runs or more in their previous game while the White Sox are just 5-12 in Quintana’s last 17 starts against the rest of the AL Central. Chicago is also 1-4 in Quintana’s last five outings coming off four days of rest.
