BREWERS KEY TRENDS: The Brewers have won four of their last five games overall and are 6-1 in their last seven road games. They’re also 4-1 in Peralta’s last five starts and are 4-1 in his last five outings when he earns a quality start in his last appearance. They’re just 3-8, however, in Peralta’s last 11 starts versus National League Central opponents.
REDS KEY TRENDS: The Reds have won eight of their last 11 games overall and five of their last seven games against National League Central rivals. They’re also 5-2 in their last seven games coming off a win, are 5-1 in their last six games against a right-handed starter, and are 6-2 in their last eight games when their opponent scores five runs or more in their previous game.
Bet Today’s Brewers vs. Reds Game
OUR PICK: We don’t know what to expect from Romano but the Brewers have never seen him so perhaps that will be an advantage for Cincinnati and the rookie. We do know that Peralta won’t keep up his current 2.45 ERA and 0.99 WHIP. He’s pitched very well through two starts, but this is a starter that has turned in two consecutive seasons with a high-fours ERA and 1.50-plus WHIP. I’m playing the odds that Peralta is due for a clunker.
