Bet Tonight’s Rockies vs. Phillies Game
From Rotoworld: Marquez pitched five innings of one-run ball in a victory over the Twins on Thursday. The Rockies are getting results from every youngster they’ve tried this year. Marquez had an ugly debut in the series where the Nationals conquered Coors last month, giving up eight runs, but he’s allowed more than one run just once in four starts since.
Eflin was beat around for seven runs in four innings during a loss to the Rangers on Wednesday. He gave up 11 base hits but none of them left the yard. It didn’t matter much though because he still gave up runs in every inning he pitched, including a four-spot in the third frame. The first three runs he allowed came home on sacrifice flies, and the fourth scored on a wild pitch. Eflin saw his ERA rise from 2.81 all the way to 4.25 by the time his night was over. Nights like this will happen when a pitcher has only 18 strikeouts in 36 innings.

OUR PREDICTION: The Rockies have won six of their last eight games overall and are 7-2 in their last nine road games. They’re also 7-2 in their last nine road games when facing a right-handed starter and have won six of eight when their opponent scores two runs or less in their previous game. On the other side, the Phillies are 0-4 in Eflin’s last four starts, are 0-4 in their last four games versus NL West opponents, and are 2-12 in their last 14 games when their opponent allows two runs or less in their previous game.
