Yasiel Puig hit a pair of two-run home runs and walked twice in the Dodgers’ 10-2 victory over the Padres on Thursday. Puig is the first player to three home runs this season and if he keeps up, surely Dave Roberts will move him up in the order. Corey Seager also reached base four times and knocked in two runs in the win.
Nolan Arenado homered off Neftali Feliez in the top of the ninth to lead the Rockies to a 2-1 win over the Brewers on Thursday. Arenado struggled during the World Baseball Classic but is now 5-for-14 to start the regular season. He has yet to strikeout and has already drawn a couple of walks as well.
Bet Today’s Dodgers vs. Rockies Game
OUR PICK: The Dodgers are just 4-9 in their last 13 games in Colorado dating back to last season and are 0-7 in their last seven games against a left-handed starter. The Rockies, meanwhile, are 4-0 in their last four home games versus a lefty and are 5-1 in their last six games when their opponent scores five runs or more in their previous game. With the Rockies juiced to play their home opener, the underdogs are a good bet today against their division rivals.
