Gordon ends winless streak
AVONDALE, AZ (TheSpread) – Jeff Gordon ended a 66-race winless streak on Sunday by picking up the victory in the 2011 Subway Fresh Fit 500.
Gordon passed Kyle Busch late in the race and cruised home to victory as a number of other contenders were taken out of the race early due to a pair of crashes within the first 100 laps of the race.
According to oddsmakers at online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com, Gordon had 12/1 odds to win Sunday’s race, meaning a $100 wager on Gordon will pay out an additional $1,200.
While Gordon won the race, Kyle Busch moves into first place in the point standings with a total of 80, three points ahead of his brother Kurt Busch.
