Bank of America 500 Picks

The second stage of the Chase for the Championship begins tonight with the Bank of America 500. Here’s some drivers we like to contend in this race.

View Current NASCAR Odds

According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Kevin Harvick is the favorite to win tonight, as he has 9/2 odds while Kyle Busch and Matt Kenseth are both listed at 6/1 to win. The Bank of America 500 takes place tonight at 7:21PM ET from Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Matt Kenseth is a play we like at 6/1. He is starting on the pole for tonight’s race and is a two-time winner at Charlotte. He also has a series-best five wins in 2015. Kenseth has an average finish of 13.6 at this track and a driver rating of 95.6, which ranks fourth in the field. His success at Charlotte combined with his strong running in 2015 should make him a definite contender tonight.

Kyle Busch is also strong at 6/1. Busch will start second for today’s race. Busch has surprisingly never won at Charlotte in his career, but his average finish is 13.2 and his driver rating is an impressive 106.6, which ranks second in the field. Tonight seems like the right time for Busch to get that win at Charlotte and advance to the next stage of the Chase.

Martin Truex Jr. has 12/1 odds to win tonight. He is starting from the 15th position and is winless at the track, but he has finished in the top 10 in three of his last five runs at Charlotte, including a fifth-place finish earlier this season. If he’s going to be an actual contender for the title, he needs to put up a win soon and tonight may be the time for him to do it.
