Camping World 400 Predictions
The 2019 NASCAR Monster Energy Series heads to Chicago today for the running of the Camping World 400. Here’s some drivers we like to contend for the win.
According to the latest oddsmakers, Kyle Busch is favored to win today, as he has +325 odds to win. Other short odds to prevail are Kevin Harvick (+475) and Martin Truex Jr. (+600). The Camping World 400 is set to take place today at 3PM ET from Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet, Illinois.
52201 Kyle Busch +325
Busch is the favorite today for good reasons. He has had a great history at Chicago. Over 14 races, he has two wins with an average finish of 10.6 and a driver rating of 107.8. Busch is rolling right now too, finishing in the top 5 in four straight races. He has four wins on the year and has been in the top 10 in all but one event. I think Busch can repeat as the Camping World 400 champ.
52206 Chase Elliott +1000
Elliott has only driven at Chicago three times, but they have been three strong runs. He has finished in the top five in two of them and has an average finish of 8.0. Elliott has the top driver rating of anyone in the field today at 111.4. This year hasn’t been outstanding for Elliott, but he picked up a win at Talladega and I think he can do it today in Chicago. Elliott has been pretty hit-or-miss, so if he avoids trouble, I like his chances to win.
52207 Kyle Larson +1000
Another dark horse option today is Larson, who is similar to Elliott. He has just five appearances at Chicago over his career and has finished in the top five three times and top 10 four times. His driver rating at this track is 101.9. Larson isn’t having a solid 2019 season thus far and it’s time for him to dig in if he’s going to make something happen this year. Coming to one of his best tracks, I think Larson is someone that can come through and give you a nice payout today.
